Roy stared at the small glass of whiskey that layed dully in his hand, looking at his pathetic expression.

He had almost lost his job today, but he guessed that that is what happens when you punch the Fuher.

~"your'e acting pathetic mustang," Bradley had snapped, "just get over that mans death, he was of no use to the army any longer. just some half beat idiot with that stupid look on his face."~

Roy had snapped at that moment. Sure he may have been a half beat idiot but he was also a great person!

Roy thought he was halucinating when he saw Hughes' face behind him in the reflection of the amber liquid.

He imidently threw the glass, shattering it into a hundred pieces because of shock. Then a hand reached out and stroked his face turning his head, "Now that was uncalled for wasnt it?" said a extremly familiar face of his green eyed friend.

Roy on instinct jumped back and grabbed his gun, with a horrifed expression he shot ten times at the figure. But each shot when through it, and he seemed unfased. "Now why would you shout your own friend?" Maes said with a smile on his face reaching out for roy.

"No! Dont touch me your not real!" Roy yelled backing away only ending up running into the corner of his desk. "Get back!" this couldnt be real! Maes is dead! He has been dead for six months!

but despite Roy's comands, Maes walked over to him. he still had that gentle smile on his face too. the one that roy had always loved about him.

"Shh... dont make such a racket..." Maes soothed stroking roy cheek tenderly. "its okay... i am here.... so dont cry."

"I'm not crying and your not here!" roy shouted but it turned out Maes WAS here and he WAS in fact crying.

"Dont lie to me Roy... you were never good at it..." Maes whispered smileing at Roy sympatheticly as he began stroking his hair.

"Just get away from me...! You- your.... dead." roy murmered slinging his down in his hands in shame from crying when he swore he would not shed another tear about him.

"shh..." maes said and lifted roys head by his chin and hugged him, letting roy silently cry in the crook of his neck.

Roy lifted his head and as maes leaned in to kiss him but just as he blinked maes was gone.

roy stood there in disbelief then looked to the floor to see his tears had never fallen into maes' neck but just to the floor.

he slumped up against the desk and silently laughed at his stupidity... he imagined him again....

later that night roy sat in his home leaning against his window.

"you know i saw you again tonight..."

"yeah it was really you..."

"haha... you always like to pay me visits dont you..."

"its a beautiful night isnt it maes...?"

roy murmered this as he smelled maes' uniform holding it close to him.

"i just cant seem to let you go can i....? you poor bastard..."
